We go through our lives,
Living for tomorrow.
Hoping for the “one day” to come
So we can live that dream.
One day, we will buy a house
One day, we will express our love
One day...
We get so caught up in our one days
That we forget about today
We forget about the now
We allow time to pass through our fingers
We let loved ones slip away
We don’t say or do whatever it is that we need to
And we forget...
There is a last time for everything.
The thing is...
We won’t know it’s the last time
Until there are no more times.
And even then,
It will take time to process and fully realize it.
So while we go throughout our days,
We need to remember...
There are only so many of them.
And when those days are gone,
We will wish for just one more.
We will yearn...
For just one more last time.
